THE 5TH MALAYSIAN VIDEO AWARDS 2000 CALL FOR ENTRIES

The 5th Malaysian Video Awards is pleased to announce its call for
entries.

The Malaysian Video Awards, which started in 1995 under the auspices of
the National Art Gallery, is an annual award festival for the craftsmen
and craftswomen in the film and video industry in Malaysia and the ASEAN
region.

The aim of the awards is to reward and recognise the many highly
creative individuals who have supported and contributed to the
development of the industry, and who have elevated the industry to its
current standards.

The festival, to be held on May 30th to June 2nd 2000, will be a
four-day celebration featuring the screening of videos and films
produced by international artists, seminars and workshops conducted by
industry experts from around the globe, ending with the award night on
Friday, 2nd June 2000.

CALL FOR ENTRIES
Deadline: 6 May 2000
Now accepting entries.

The following will be awarded:

Professional Crafts Awards: 17 Categories.

Experimental Film And Video Awards : 4 Categories. (Amateur and
Professional) Prizes include cash and a trophy.

ASEAN Crafts Awards: 4 Categories (Professional) for TV/cinema
commercials.

And Introducing Best of MVA 2000 Award: The best award amongst the best
of MVA chosen from the gold award winners from all categories; TVC,
Documentary, Music Video, Sound Design, Experimental, etc.

Get your entry forms from the MVA Council or print from the MVA web
site.
