This surat layang, one of many I have seen or received, calls for the
UMNO delegates to re-consider the return of the former deputy prime
minister and former UMNO deputy president to high office:
My dear fellow Malaysians,
This circular letter is addressed to all UMNO members, especially to
those from Johore because it is THEY and only THEY who can spearhead
this already almost-too-late campaign to launch their very own Anak
Johore, Musa Hitam, back to the active political arena (where Musa
actually belongs) to face those fake and impotent "gladiators", get rid
of them, save those good members and the party itself rom rotting and
fading into final oblivion.
Who can stop the rot, and save UMNO from weakening further? Look around
you, Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim was sacked and is in jail; Ku Li was
manipulated and cheated into dissolvinghis Semangat 46, therefore not
given any position of importance in the party, but consigned to perform
the foregone "Mission Impossible" or regaining for UMNO the well-run
PAS-controlled state of Kelantan; there meeting his "political death"
when UMNO was trouned inthe last General Elections, not only in Kelantan
but also in Trengganu. Ghafar Baba is old and sick, anyway academically
not qualified in spite of being ex-DPM. Najib had been demoted (from
Education to Defence), sidelined for retaining his MP seat with hairline
margin, and perhaps some skeletons he left in the cupboard of some Port
Dickson hotel. Then you have Mike Tyson who was from not-so-rich
background in Rasa but after becoming MB Selangor, could have an affair
with the divorcee daughterof the present Agong and settled the matter
with tens of millions of Ringgit when the old man (who is also Sultan of
Selangor, his "boss") became angry with the knowledge of the affair.
Financally we come to the present and third (sic) DPM of Mahathir Reign,
Mr Clean-and-Good Badawi, but unfortunately, too beholden to his boss
for the seat he is occupying now and too scared to speak out for fear of
losing his piece of bread which he seems to think that he knows on which
side of the bread is buttered. They will remain in tow and in line. Oh
yes; we almost forgot a few of those, like "Rais Returns" (so announced
the Press), but for what purpose? To join the Cabinet, and to be the
link to patch up the "bad-for-publicity" rift between the Bar Council
and the Government, but more important, to convey the picture that even
Rais has returned to the fold and we hve a united UMNO! Then what else
do we have? Second tier leaders hve been damaged by corruption;l
people like Zahid, Nazri, Rahim Thamby Chik, Muhyiddin etc., all became
multi-millionaires and cannot perty or people anymore. Hishamuddin Tun
Hussein too can succumb to the disease which will eventually destroy the
party (Like Golka (sic) of Indonesia) if not checked NOW!
How do we stop the spread of this get-rich-quick epidemic that is
growing and metastasing like malignant cancer tumours? Get a doctor?
Forget it; he is probably the cause of the present Malay Dilemma! What
a coincident irony! Desperate malady requires desperate remedy.
Desperate Malaise requires Musa's Blak Lotion (which is actually Musa
Hitam's solution). Remember, for cancer, the Doc will either cut you
(surgery), burn you (radiation) or poison you (chemotherapy), usually
done at the Bank where loans and facilities are immediately
withdrawn/recalled with writs/bankruptcies filed. Musa's Lotion is
indigenously Melayu; very soothing to the suffers but deadly to
cancerous cells (corruption and cronyism). Years ago, when Musa was DPM
and in chair of Anti-corruption, he was at his job at all the time
fighting corruption and nepotism. Some of us may recall that even our
well-known cartoonist Lat did one frame for NST then, showing panic
among Government officers, with one calling out "Musa is coming"! I
wish now I had kept that newspaper cutting.
A born leader, Musa Hitam never really had a chance of becoming the No.
1 to show us his leadership qualities and ability simply because hjis
boss, and still is, power crazy as prove by Time (and time again!).
