I think we need to understand the principles and values of the Internet.

Nobody is stopping anyone from starting a splinter group or whatever you may call it. We have our own viewpoints and unlike the print or TV mdeia, we do not need licenses to voice it out in any way we see fit.

Uncle Yap (with much regret) started a group of his own. He had disagreements with the list owner but now he has an audience of his own, kudos to him. I like many of his informative postings but my brain (and mailbox) capacity ensures that I can only sbscribe to  limited forums.  MGG has no problems about people starting their own group. In fact in the archives, you will
find him encouraging it. Why should there be only Sang Kancil on the Internet ? Let Berita Malaysia bloom ! Let a thousand flowers bloom ! There is no question on ostracising anyone on the Internet. If you get booted out, is it such a blow ? Obviously not. Start your own group ! Just dont do it to spite SK.  Thats really violating the goodwill on the Internet.

I have unsubscribed myself from Vijay's unsolicited addition of me to his list. You know why ? Its because his opening message for starting the forum was criticism of SK. You want to get people to join your group, it will not because of people who are disgruntled with SK or MGG but whether you have something to contribute to the forum to make it informative and rich of
content. I would suggest that is why Uncle Yap is successful NOT because he harps or snipes on other people's contributions.
