Open Question: Which modeling clay should I use to make miniature charms?

Mon, 2010-06-21 12:15
Okay, I'm going to make one miniature charm for my friend by this coming Monday. This is will be my first time doing it, so, I need to know roughly what kind of modeling clay will be suitable for this project. I need the end product to last forever (assuming that proper care is taken), and I might glaze it a little. I've heard of polymer clay before, but I don't know where to get it in Klang, Malaysia. I'm also considering homemade modeling clay though. Also, please include the recipe and instructions to make the homemade clay. Thanks in advance. ^^

Open Question: Why do people think they randomly know better than the government and all their advisers about economics, etc.?

Mon, 2010-06-21 06:58
The government does not listen to Joe Average because Joe Average has done nothing to prove anyone should listen to him. If you live in a one bedroom dilapidated bungalow, not only should the government not listen to you but your own kids and neighbours should not listen to you. Joe business owner / Joe corporation are the Joe’s the government listens to. Example: Mexicans make for very low cost labour. Not only do they accept lower than minimum wage payments, you don’t have to pay for any employee benefits either. Hiring 10 illegal Mexicans instead of 10 legal citizens can save hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. It can (and many times is) the difference between closing down and turning a profit. If you send them all home, those businesses with enough liquidity will simply follow them to Mexico and open a business there. If they don’t have enough liquidity, they will become insolvent and shut down putting the other legal people that may have worked there out of a job. The government will be out of large amounts of corporate taxes, and they will be blamed for jobs being outsourced. The only thing to do then would be for the government to hand out grants or subsidize. You have to think about the actual details of doing such a thing. Illegal immigration hasn’t been ignored by all the presidents for nothing. If you send them all home, you will lose tons of business to China and Mexico and Malaysia etc… That’s all there is to it. The government knows it well, they don’t explain it because you’ll get mad anyway. They know the public isn’t rational and won’t listen to reason because they don’t think. They want their cake and eat it too and to hell with 1+1=2. What makes everyone think the government ought to listen to them when it seems 95% of uses on here can’t even grasp the illegal immigration situation? Is this a flaw with Democracy?
